Situated in the province of the Northern Cape, in a private estate of a small town of Kimberly. The owners wanted a retirement oasis that would cater to all of their needs as they opt for a slower pace in the escarpment. The house in spread across two levels with the overall massing facing north to take in the views of the golf course as well as to improve the buildings thermal comfort performance. Both the design and tech-tonics opted for in this scheme is informed by the homeowner’s love for nature and the outdoors. The courtyard placement allows for natural light to reach every room in the house, therefore improving the overall occupant’s experience.
